The KAIM addresses the issue of blindness because it allows the user to see things without using the outer eyeball. The KAIM sends electronic pulses to the brain via the optic nerve. Currently, there is no way to fully restore one's sight after he or she is blind. With the KAIM, people could get images in their brain on what they see. People would be able to see their surroundings via microscopic cameras that captured their surroundings. These images would then be sent to the KAIM, which would then convert the images into electronic pulses which could be seen by the viewer.
