The KAIM
About 39 million people in the world are currently blind. Another 246 million have low vision quality. All of these people would be able to see with our technology, the KAIM. The KAIM can help those with blindness because it displays images into one's retina. The KAIM not only helps those with blindness, it also is a major entertainment opportunity. The KAIM uses both current and future technology and enables people to experience virtual reality from the comfort of their couch. Although there already are virtual reality headsets, they have many negatives. One of the most prominent of disadvantages being a large headset has to be worn to operate the system. With the KAIM, only a small device implanted into the head would be required.
